Investing in youth is investing in the future: Support for talents and sports clubs

Goran Ivanišević, the brand ambassador for UNIQA insurance and the Foundation's sports mentor, fully supports the UNIQA SEE Foundation's commitment to sports. Goran Ivanišević, the legendary tennis coach and Wimbledon champion, had the honor of introducing Luna Vujović, the Foundation's first young athlete.

Goran knows very well how working with young people can be crucial in shaping their future. He shares the same values with UNIQA, and this was a great way for him to work with young people. Goran will use his valuable experience to help the Foundation recognize, empower, and support young talents.

Luna Vujović – the first young sports talent of the Foundation

Luna Vujović is the winner of the European Junior Championship and the winner of Wimbledon for juniors under 14 years old. She is one of the greatest young tennis players in Southeast Europe who in 2022 won four out of five Tennis Europe finals she participated in.
Under the auspices of the Foundation, Luna will have both financial support and mentoring assistance that will help her achieve even greater results.

Support for Sports Clubs

With support for young talents in sports, the Foundation is dedicated to building the sports infrastructure that is necessary for quality engagement in sports. By giving a donation to the GEM Tennis Club in Sarajevo last year, the Club started with the activities to improve the infrastructure and support for new tennis talents, hopefully future tennis stars. The donation was presented during an exhibition match where Goran Ivanišević, the brand ambassador of UNIQA insurance and a sports mentor of the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation, emphasized the overall importance of supporting young talents in sports and culture.

The Foundation also donated to the Jekova Tennis School in Sofia to support young tennis talents with promising sports careers. The mission of the school is to encourage as many children as possible to play tennis, feel happy on the court, stay healthy, and practice sport. When the school opened, they started with two coaches and 15 children. Now there are five coaches and more than a hundred children, which is a clear indicator of how important it is to support sport clubs.
