About Summer Pitch 2026
The UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation is very proud to have supported the Best Pitch Award at Summer Pitch 2026 – because investing in young authors and regional talent is at the very core of what we do.
This year's edition of Summer Pitch brought together students, professors, and professionals from the film and theater industries with the goal of developing new projects, exchanging knowledge, and connecting young creators across the region.
By the numbers
A total of 14 projects were presented during the central pitch event:
- 10 film projects
- 4 theater projects
Participating academies
In addition to students from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, this year's edition also hosted colleagues from:
- Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade
- Academy of Dramatic Art, Zagreb
- Academy of Dramatic Arts, Tuzla
- Academy of Arts, Banja Luka
All participating students actively presented their projects and took part in the program.
Three days of workshops, mentorship and connection
Over three days, participants had the opportunity to:
- Improve their projects through workshops and mentorship
- Attend masterclasses and expert discussions
- Exchange experiences with students, professors, and professionals from the region
A special segment of the program was a roundtable where guest academies presented their teaching processes, working methods, and experiences – opening a space for dialogue and future collaboration.
Beyond the formal program
Summer Pitch was also a place for socializing, networking, and building new professional relationships. Participants watched the FIFA World Cup match Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina together, spent time in informal conversations, and built connections that we hope will grow into future collaborations and projects.
A successful close
Summer Pitch 2026 ended with a joint gathering and a closing party – leaving behind new ideas, new acquaintances, and a strong desire to continue this story in the years to come.
