Seven selected projects were presented at Slano Film Days 2026.

The UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Film Festival and Slano Film Days, proudly presents the selection of seven film projects within the Female Filmmakers Support Programme. Launched in 2024, this programme aims to support and empower women filmmakers from the six Southeast European countries where UNIQA operates: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, and Bulgaria.

The Female Filmmakers Support Programme was created with the intention of strengthening the presence and visibility of women in the regional film industry through financial support, mentorship, and professional development. Selected filmmakers also receive support through CineLink Industry Days, the professional training and skills platform of the Sarajevo Film Festival.

This initiative was first presented at Slano Film Days 2024.

"Two years ago, we launched the Female Filmmakers Support Programme as one of the very first steps of the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation. Now, as we celebrate its second generation, I am proud to see how far it has come, its impact deepening and widening with each passing year. What fills me with joy is that this initiative is steadily becoming a tradition we are building together with our partners, and I sincerely hope it will continue to thrive, as every new generation brings a wave of fresh, exciting, and unforgettable projects. I am deeply honoured that our efforts have been recognised, and I am especially grateful that we are regarded as a foundation that empowers female filmmakers. None of this would be possible without the extraordinary partnership of Slano Film Days and the Sarajevo Film Festival, and I thank them genuinely for their support. This year's recipients are truly inspiring. Their talent gives me great hope for the future of cinema. I congratulate each one of them and eagerly look forward to seeing their stories unfold in film," said Petra Šolman, Manager of the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation.

The programme was supported by the Film Centre of Montenegro and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
