At this year's Sarajevo Film Festival, UNIQA, as the main sponsor and official insurer of the Festival, presented a series of interesting, inspiring, and interactive events and activations.

The UNIQA Pavilion in the Festival Garden was the ultimate meeting and entertainment spot during the Festival. We are especially proud that this year, for the first time, the podcast "UNIQA Small Film Talks," hosted by renowned regional actor and TV host Tarik Filipović, was recorded exclusively. 🎙️

The first episode of the UNIQA Podcast features a conversation with Jovan Marjanović, Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and Adel Bahtanović, President of the UNIQA SEE Region.

Jovan and Adel shared inspiring stories about their first meeting which resulted in UNIQA's sponsorship of the Festival, as well as the numerous contents and new festival locations that emerged from it – the UNIQA Summer Cinema Stari Grad, with doubled capacity for twice the enjoyment of film screenings, the UNIQA Studio, the UNIQA Quiz, and many others. 🎬

In the second episode of the UNIQA Podcast 'Small Film Talks,' our host Tarik Filipović spoke with three promising second-year Production students from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo: Emilija Novaković, Lucija Sesartić, and Tarik Pobrić. 🎙️

The three of them are part of the production team that, with the support of their mentors, is working on shooting a remake of the film "Whirlpool" (Vrtlog) by director Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac. UNIQA provided the financial means to complete this project, thereby showing support for the young talents who are shaping the future of domestic cinema.

UNIQA supports stories worth telling and gives a voice to the generations bringing positive change to society.

In the third episode of the UNIQA podcast "Small Film Talks," we had the great pleasure of hosting two exceptional figures from the Bosnian and regional film scene: Aida Begić, a renowned director and screenwriter, recipient of numerous domestic and international awards, as well as Mirsad Purivatra, founder of the Sarajevo Film Festival and director of Slano Film Days.

Our guests, together with host Tarik Filipović, engaged in an inspiring conversation about the strength, perseverance, and creativity of women in film, with special focus on the Female Filmmakers Support Programme – a unique initiative launched and supported by the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation.

Šejla Kamerić, an internationally recognized Bosnian-Herzegovinian visual artist whose work spans film, photography, and installation, and Milica Mijajlović Živković, a young multidisciplinary artist and recipient of the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation's Visual Artists Mentorship Program, were the guests of the 4th episode of the UNIQA Podcast "Small Film Talks."

The conversation was centered around the Visual Artists Mentorship Program, launched by the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation in collaboration with the organizations Nomad and Nomarts.

The program provides young artists from Southeast Europe the opportunity to reach their full potential through professional guidance, international visibility, and professional development. Through this program, young artists get the chance to develop their talent with the support of experienced mentors and open doors to world-renowned galleries.

In the new episode of the UNIQA Podcast, in conversation with our host Tarik Filipović, Šejla and Milica discuss the importance of supporting young creators, the power of visual art, and how a mentorship program can become a catalyst for change.

In early 2026, Milica will present her solo exhibition at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, one of Europe's most important centers for contemporary art, with mentorship support from Šejla Kamerić and the program's curatorial team.

What made Milica the chosen one for this prestigious program, and what does the journey from idea to exhibition in Vienna look like? Find out in the new #UNIQA Podcast episode.
