Last Friday, the exhibition Milica Živković: THE ROOTS OF SMALL FIRES opened at Galerija Kortil in Rijeka.
The exhibition is part of the UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation Mentorship Program for Visual Artists, developed in collaboration with artist and mentor Šejla Kamerić and organised by NOMAD – The Croatian Office for Contemporary Art.
It premiered at MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, curated by Astrid Peterle. The exhibition brings together personal and collective memories shaped by the social and political realities of the post-war Balkans—transforming them into works that embody both tenderness and resistance.
Curated by Ivana Lučić.
